About us

The Cleopatra and Cesare Association is a voluntary organisation that supports and promotes international development cooperation for mutual intercultural and social exchange and the promotion of human rights, including through young people participating in the Erasmus+ programme, Globus and national and international associations.

Through international development cooperation, we aim to contribute to building synergistic relationships between European and non-European territories by playing an active and leading role in conducting partnership projects between similar entities in the territories, particularly among civil society actors.To combat inequality and prevent conflict, we promote positive relationships and mutual interests between communities which, despite living in distant territories, face similar challenges posed by globalisation processes.

We aim to promote eco-sustainable tourism that enhances the territory, respects the environment and actively involves local communities.

In addition, the Association will be responsible for the international environment, with particular reference to university mobility and Erasmus internships, supporting students and recent graduates in their educational experiences abroad.

The Association will promote trips, excursions and trekking for Italians and internationals to offer the opportunity to discover and experience the territory from a unique and participatory perspective and to integrate people into the socio-cultural fabric of the island..

Coordination

The Association was founded on 5 November 2024 with the Articles of Association of the Founding Members:

Enrico Piras – President;

Chiara Scarfò – Vice- President;

Riccardo Sirigu – Treasurer;

Gian Luca Pinna – Member of the Executive Committee;

Paolo Leo – Member of the Executive Committee;

Dario Piras – Member of the Executive Committee;

Antonella Scarfò – Member of the Executive Committee.

We inaugurated our headquarters on 19/07/2025 at 23B Monte Sabotino Street, 09122 Cagliari, Italy.

We are affiliated with the Confederazione Sindacale Lavoratori Europei (European Workers' Trade Union Confederation - C.S.L.E), which protects European workers in both the public and private sectors, without political affiliations.

We organise meetings, awareness campaigns, events, demonstrations and recreational activities with socio-cultural aims, based on the Association's Statutory Purposes.
